starstuff

you

you are a black hole

you consume

everything you touch and

collapse

in upon yourself

when there is no more

for you to hold tightly to the void

that trickles like ink when you speak

and coagulates like the starstuff on

your tongue

and i cannot help but be consumed

because

before you were a black hole

you were my non-binary super-massive star

you were bright and

i was the asteroid belt

to your solar system

i was the earth

to your moon

and

when you laughed

my tides crashed upon the sand

and when you flared

i dared to hope that

one day

those solar outbursts would brand my

electromagnetic field

because

you are my sun

and i am your asteroid belt

my only joy can be found

in the gravity of your presence
