Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight.

The stars were bright as day

Sparkling softly through the window,

Casting light where I lay.

“Starlight, star bright, first star I see tonight,”

I whispered, heart full of hope,

A quiet prayer, a wish to hold tight.

The night, a tender, endless sea,

Where dreams drifted silently toward me.

In that moment, still and sweet,

I made my wish, with faith so complete,

For peace, for love, for all things kind,

To heal the quiet ache inside my mind.

The stars blinked softly in reply,

As if they knew the tears I hide.

And with that wish, so gently spun,

I felt a warmth, like the rising sun.

For though the world felt far away,

At that moment, I was safe to stay.

As the stars began to fade,

I held the wish, a quiet trade

For in my heart, I knew somehow,

The wish would guide me, here and now.
