Stargazing

Thu, 06/27/2019 - 10:52 -- kmartin

We went stargazing once,

how close the stars seemed.

We lied there talking

about our future and dreams.

We were so young

only seventeen.

“Days goes by faster with age

Because you compare

the time of each day

with the rest of your life.”

You told me this truth

that beautiful night.

“Life is full of memories

We never get to touch

We only experience them once

But once is enough.”

I still think about that night

Ironic indeed

To relive a memory

this conversation as the lead.
