Stardust

I was once told
That we are all made of stardust.
Some doubt this theory,
But I can testify of its truth.

For some,
Their stars are still alive.
They glitter and shine with life
And appear as love, passion
In those graced
With living
Stardust.

For some,
Their stars are long dead.
They are faded and dulled
And appear depressed
As likely they are
With dead
Stardust.

For some,
Their stars are dying.
They flicker as they fade
And shine brightest before
The impending death
That comes
With dying
Stardust.

I was once told
That we are all made of stardust.
Some doubt this theory,
But human nature shows us
We are all made of
Stardust.
