Stand Tall

Babies are crying,
While adults are going to work,
Children playing up and down the streets,
Everybody laughing until reality sets in,
Wondering how bills will be paid
Teenagers struggling between schoolwork and home lives
Families are ripped apart
A child here and a child there
Daily activities now a struggle
Rather than fun and exciting
Technology growing faster each and every day
Cell phones, television, laptops, clothes
It’s all a trend
Eventually all falls
But unlike toys, people we stand tall and proud
For one reason we call home
America
