Stage Right Thoughts

DARK AND QUITENESS SURROUND ME OFTEN

WHEN I LET MYSELF DRIFT INTO THE SURREAL

WORLD THAT I CAN FIND MY ESCAPE IN.

SOMETIMES I WISH TO JUST LET MYSELF FEEL

LIKE LADY MACBETH WITH CRAZED AMBITION

OR VIOLA WITH IDENTITIES TORN.

PERHAPS A WEYARD SISTER OR APPARITION,

OR GONERIL, VENGFUL AND FORLORN.

MY HEAD SPINS WITH THE POSSIBILITIES

OF CREATING A LIFE THAT'S NOT MY OWN.

FINDING MYSELF IN OTHER INDENTITIES,

CREATING A WORLD, CREATING A HOME.

A MAN ONCE SAID THAT "ALL THE WORLD'S A STAGE"

FOR EVERY HEART, EVERY SOUL, AND EVERY AGE.
