Springing Forward to Spring

Winter,

I laid, terrified.

People pass by,

unafraid of what awaits them.

I walked with no purpose.

They burned with confidence.

I stayed in the safety of the shade.

They were concerned,

I was withdrawn.

“Believe” they said.

“How?” I asked.

Simply “Believe in yourself”

Hard, no matter how easy they made it look.

But eventually..

In Spring,

I sprung anew.
