Spend A Day

Spend a day in others' shoes,

Walk in them for a mile;

You will receive the news

That it is sometimes hard to smile.

Spend a day with another's life,

Try to take it all in stride,

But perhaps you feel a knife

When you thought you could confide.

Spend a day in another's room,

See it through their view,

And feel it come, the impending doom,

When there's nothing new.

Spend a day with others' feelings,

Try to weild them well,

As you work through their deelings

It may not feel so swell.

Spend a day in another's spine,

You may be aghast

As these events fall in line

And reveal to you your past.
