Speaking Out

Location

Give me a sec to get my mind straight.

And let me speak out what I feel every day.

You wanna know what my struggle is, so listen carefully.

I feel like just some dusty book on a shelf.

With the front all torn up and messed up.

I guess the words they said before, have finally found a way to my soul.

And they never got out of my mind before.

I know now who I am but, the memories keep coming back up.

I don’t miss the days when I felt so weak.

Waiting for my chance to shine, but as each day went on

The world I lived in beat me down,

Made me bleed out ‘til Death was my only friend.

I wondered if this was all life had to offer or nothing at all...

I could never see a way out.

So I just gave it all up and, I hope you don't.

‘Cause I learned that there is so much more to this life than what we believe.

It was there when I decided, I just don’t wanna to go through life, and I wanna live it out.

So I found myself broken down and turned it around.

Took all the pain and threw it all away

‘Cause at the end of the day it doesn’t define we are inside.

To everyone whoever beat me down I said to them,

Go ahead and say what you want to me

‘Cause those words you speak hurt me yesterday.

But today isn’t yesterday; today I’m stronger than I ever been.

You’ll waste your life trying to bring me down.

Just to find out that you'll never get the best of me

‘Cause I know what stand for and I’m never losing sight of my purpose.

Dear misery, have a seat with me.

I don't care what you do to me,

‘Cause you can never faze me.

Yeah you almost burned me out

But, I’m a flame that can’t be put out.

The strength I found inside of me,

I will tell the whole world about it now.

There's nothing left for me to say,

All you need to do is take a stand with me.

When you had enough of the world’s hate,

You either hide yourself and fade away,

As if there's nothing left for you to say.

Or you take the hate they pass on and throw it away.

Hate rolls off the tongue of the liars and deceivers.

Lied to your face, they'll never change.

But, you take it and change it so you pass on love and hope to a broken soul.

Am I sick of life, or just sick of the hate?

Exhausting how we can pass the hate so easily,

Passing it on as we go and just going with the flow.

Why do we stoop so low?

‘Cause right now, there is a world out there in need of a change.

You don't want to be the change,

Just know we forget your name.

Lost in a dark place, gone, but we’re back now.

At the start, with a dream for a change.

To bring hope and love to a world that has forgotten,

This is what drives us to live on.

Without hope we have no dreams.

Without dreams we have no life.

Without love we are alone.

Alone we will fall apart.

If you are willing to stand up, sing along with me.

Dear misery, have a seat with me.

I don't care what you do to me,

‘Cause you can never faze me.

Yeah you almost burned me out

But, I’m a flame that can’t be put out.

The strength I found inside of me,

I will tell the whole world about it now.

If no one believes you, believe yourself.

Change the world and run free.

When you are at the end, know you made a difference.

You live your life for your passions and dreams.

You lived for those you love the most.

You reached the stars.

Die happy with the legacy you leave.
