Speak to Me
God speak to me
Whisper in my ear like you whisper to the wind who goes, goes forth and tap dances from one end of the earth to the other
Through and through, from a mere whisper, just because of your whisper
Touch me, Lord touch me with your hands the same way you touched Adam and formed man out of dust
Mold me, shape me, break me, so that I can be rebuilt
Make me your own, leave your fingerprint on my form, so that all of creation knows that I am yours
And it has been your hands that have so intimately marked me
Lord sing to me
Serenade in my ear, which has a direct line to my heart
March words and melodies in my head, like soldiers heading out to war
Sing to me, sing to me, the way you sing to the humming bird
For it is in this she finds divinity, her voice
