Speak

Location

when silence preys
my mind left in the daze:
medicated misery
noise baring down
coming undone
and i'm feeling surrounded
the pen to paper
keeps me grounded.
words hardly express
hysterical numbness
when coming out
the lions den called
my mouth-
a sealed off fortress
of the pain down south
so i scrawl my screams
on papers sprawled
about my feet
you won't hear
a sound
but bend your ear
to the books
and listen
to me breathe
lost confused crazy
maybe
yet on paper
i make sense
and thats all
i ask
when i'm in darkness
the white screen
casts gods light
and my sleepless night
comes to a close
for i cannot say
what happened to me
but my voice
is loud enough
in times new roman
for me to speak
