I will never give you the satisfaction of getting 100% on an exam. I want you to feel the hunger for perfection and even if it your exam is perfect, at a doctorate level, I will take one point off just to humble you.

I thought to myself 

GOOD

I WILL feel the hunger for perfection 

I WILL try my best to have that one point taken off

I WILL because I am in debt

I OWE it to try my hardest to perfect my Spanish 

I OWE to my parents because it was the first language they taught me

 I OWE it to other Spanish speakers so that we can communicate without borders

I OWE it to the people who once had Spanish as their first langugae but later forgot it

Because it is a part of me
