To Spain and Back

Location

The places where I went today,

changed my mood in many a way.

I fussed over projects which hours complete

and fought for an average in which grades compete.

I learned of a time apart from my own

and mimicked its creatures from literature I'm shown.

I set fire to chemicals without distress and sculpted with ease, yet I dare digress.

I traveled to England, to Spain and back

and learned a religion where my faith does lack.

Yet all of these parts, a day in their own,

I accomplished them all not eight miles from home.

And though it seems clear that I have done so very much,

I leave school with homework, not even a hungry dog as a crutch.
