"Soulish" Christians (part one)

1 Thessalonians 5:23             New English Translation

23 Now may the God of peace himself make you completely holy and may your spirit and soul and body be kept entirely blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

“Soulish” Christians    Part one

The soul provides self-consciousness, and that is not conscience

The soul will examine self, you know, but that is not good enough

The soul always focuses on self and enhances self-life quickly

So self-exultation follows smilingly with pride and self in tow

One’s success or one’s defeat stimulates this attitude

So self-pride or self-pity provides the perception of what to do

Self-consciousness is the foundation of independence from life itself

It relies on natural basic instinct, and although this seems partly true

Every situation at the moment presents itself

It is always approached directly to the senses

These thoughts now carve in someone’s perception

The picture then is drawn in levels of consciousness.

This picture is different from awareness in what you perceive objectively

It is different because we know that it’s there but can’t affect us

Being dressed in His whole armor to withstand all trouble effectively

If we present it to God Himself and let Him move it as we fully trust
