"Soulish" Christians

Titus 1:15

15 To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure, but even their mind and conscience are defiled.

“Soulish” Christians

The soul provides self-consciousness

but that is not really conscience.

The soul will examine self

but that is not good enough.

It focuses on self

and enhances self-life quickly

so self-exaltation follows

with pride and self as such.

One’s own success or defeat

stimulate an attitude

of self-pride and pity

and perception of what to do.

Self-consciousness is the foundation

for independence from life itself

as it feeds on basic instinct

although that’s partly true.

Every situation that presents itself

approaches directly to the senses.

Lines are simply drawn

in one’s own perception.

The picture appearing

is called “own consciousness”.

It is different than awareness

your so-called “objectivity”.

It is here where it affects us

as we present it to The Lord.

To let Him move righteously

within the restrictions of our being.

Surely we were made this way

to understand reasonably

to hunger for faith and guidance

through the Savior Supreme

Being delivered from self-consciousness

is part of the redemption.

This does not happen all at once

but we’ll be sanctified that way

Exposed to our inward parts

we apprehend our true condition

as this knowledge is provided

in the Holy Spirit’s way.

It is truly needed to search through our desires.

Regenerated believers often don’t realize

the presence of the Spirit or even that He is moving

upon their sensitivity which was long ago despised.

Even spiritual senses are noticed at times.

Realization of their origin is not understood.

It transfers just to feeling that we digest through emotion

and then gets just forgotten as we do with daily food.

The soul is affected by outside influences.

The world’s penetration is part of its provision.

The daily repetition of this constant bombardment

will often leave it senses in a state of vague derision.

“Soulish” Christians band together to certain directions,

either towards emotions or reason to direct the path.

They will go to extremes of where they think they came from

for that is their deliverance ... a temporary fad.
