A Sonnet from the Painter

Paint the grey we live in;
That’s my decree.
Our world is more than the cradle of sin-
No more Greed or Sloth we should see.
Instead mix the weeping Blue with passion Red
Or add White for a pure Pink.
Greater glory for we are bred
Than what Philosophers should think.
Bleed in the outrageous Yellows for spite;
Override the monochrome plane
With scandalous greens and teal delight!
Let our expression be their bane.
   By and by, observe the new global nation
   Conquer the world with fierce elation!
