Sitting for hours with bleach in your hair
Can be tiresome, though it is worth it
When you think of the matching clothes you’ll wear,
And when your parents find it’s permanent.
Dyed hair is not for everyone, howe’er,
Which is why I know it is right for me.
People can spot me in any weather,
And figure the person I try to be.
I show the world, with half of my head pink,
I’m an artistic individual,
And although I know what my parents think
I’m glad my inner voice is visible.
I am my hair, bright pink on the right side.
I’d lose myself if my hair was not dyed.
This poem is about:
Me
My family
