Once, there was a girl,

Who sang a lively tune

Every day the Sun went down

To greet the handsome Moon

When the Sun was up, however,

She would always wear a frown

So the Gods had to pull the lever

To make the Sun go down

Her song was that of a love, long forgot

Imaginary marriage vows made all for naught

She wished the Gods would never, ever

Stop pushing against that big, Sun lever

So that she could sing forever

To the Man on the Moon
