Song and Dance

Fri, 04/29/2016 - 12:53 -- Wolvena

A little giggle

Soft and light

In the darkening night it comes out

No one’s around

I don’t have to be me

I can be me

And it doesn’t matter

I dance to a silent song

The moon and stars are my audience

My mind lifts

Running off with the song

Drumbeats pound in my heart

A wild laugh as I leap through the air

Bare feet landing on the cool grass

Tiptoeing through the bubbling brook

Wind plays with my already unruly hair

The song begins to spill from my lips

Wild as the place I dance

Freedom in every step

My lips curve

To the sound of chaotic peace
