Some Driving Advice for You

You left your house a quarter to eight.

You rush out the door because you'll be late.

You pull out the driveway.

It isn't straight

Because you're checking your Twitter.

This'll be great.

A second passes by.

You hear those sirens cry.

Once you've learned,

You won't get burned.

Your boss won't smirk

When you're late to work.

Then you'll know

To not be on your phone.

You pick your grandma up from the store.

Her car broke down and she needs a tow.

She needs to drop off her pizza dough,

Ice cream, bottle of merlot.

"It's down this road right?"

"You're not very bright."

Your phone caused you to swerve on the grass.

You're grandma's sure to give you a swift kick in the "HEY!

Your driver's test... Did you even pass?"

Restrain yourself. Don't give her sass.

A second passes by.

You hear those sirens cry.

Once you've learned,

You won't get burned.

You won't see

The inside of a tree.

Then you'll know

To not be on your phone.
