She's drowning in a sea of shadows

 

The world fades away

 

The only thing in her tear streaked eyes

 

Is his dying face

 

Her heart beats fast while his slows down

 

She cannot let him go

 

His sweet blue eyes open one last time

 

And she is filled with woe

 

His eyes are filled with burning love 

 

She doesn't know what to do

 

Yet she understands the choice he made

 

To live his life like so few

 

He smiles such a pure sweet smile

 

Never fearing death

 

Her heart is breaking all the while 

 

As he takes his last breath

 

A sigh escapes her parted  lips

 

And she crouches in despair

 

Through misty eyes she leans down

 

And kisses his sandy hair

 

Farewell she says Farewell my love

 

She knows he's out of pain

 

Farewell she whispers Farewell my love

 

And the clouds part in rain
