Society

Society paints an image
in a young girl's head.
A contrived idea of perfection
makes her wish she were dead.
Society gives the boy false judgement,
he believes the wrong is right
leads the boy to substance abuse, and keeps him up all night.
"Be yourself" society claims.
"Not like that" they aim.
Their aim is right on target,
teens lie dead on their carpet.
You can't let their image get inside your head
it' up to us to stop this spread.
People are just people
They shouldn't make you nervous.
So next time your bullied
do us all a service.
Stand up to society,
and raise awareness!
