Society

Maybe if society did not pressure us

To have the “perfect relationship”,

Maybe if society did not push

A certain definition of love,

Maybe if society did not brainwash us

To thinking a certain body was the only “pretty”,

Maybe if society would leave us alone

We wouldn’t be here.

Maybe if we didn’t listen

Or cared

About what society

Thought,

Said,

Displayed,

We wouldn’t be here.

Maybe if we stop blaming society,

Stop blaming other people,

Stop blaming in general,

We would be in a different spot.

But

We

Continue

To

Blame.

Because in the end

We all think we are the victim

And everybody else is the attacker

When in reality

We are all victims

Trying to blindly point to where

The

Attacker

Is

When the attacker

Was us

The entire time.
