Soar

If I were a bird,I would stand before the sunMy wings would spread As far as my faith will allowI would not think once nor twiceThe wind would deliver the scent of lifeLike the leaves Falling off a tree, during an autumn breeze, I’d hear them rustle near byA small step I would takeTowards a garden of rosesThat await me If I shall fallIt would be foolish not to try, right? With my wings cutting the breeze I’d flyNot too close to the sunWho also setsI’d fly to the place I call homeParadiseMeanwhile, I rest on a bed of petalsIf I were a bird, I would not live Without the attempt of flying first.
