Smile; It Makes the Evil Jealous

Location

When the world is feeling bleak,

Leaving you on your knees feeling weak.

Don't despair, just look up.

See around you the brimming life-cup.

Days will be worse than others,

Shrouds of darker gathering in clusters,

But, no, do not let it hold you down in its grip,

Stand up, shake it off, grin, and give it the slip.

When the heaviness seems almost impossible,

Turn on your heel and dance to sounds indescribable.

When the words of the cruel are thrown your way,

Catch them in their path and toss them away.

Never give up, cry when you need to, and always remember,

There are days you will feel hopeless but you will never surrender.
