Sleep and its beauty

Blissful weights on fluttering lashes,

soothing kisses of wonderlands untold,

where the rules of the world crumble to ashes

and the most sacred of treasures you too can hold.

Gently slipping into enveloping black,

muscles relaxing,

you fall back.

Back into a world that's so much less taxing,

and where the sweet transmundane go to rule.

Back into a land that's made of fuzzy edges and warmth,

where your desires can coalesce into a dizzying pool.

That is the beauty of sleep.
