Slavery of the 21st Century

Day and night I suffer the same fate
My body being pushed to its expiry date
My mind is at its limits
When you take away my innocence
What have I done to be treated like no one?

You stole my face from the world
You took me to places I've never heard
I wish they were just some visits
Some trips, some cities
But I never saw any landmarks
Just faces of men with dark hearts

I was sold and I was bought
At a price of nothing
At a price of naught
By the ones I loved
By the ones I thought
Had been there for me
From the very first start

5 years of this misery
Some suffered 4
And others passed in history
No matter the age
Whether young or old
You were treated the same
With an unexpected cold

Though I survived so many plights
Others are there still fighting the fights
The minors the youngsters
Abducted and lured
Innocent and pure

They will tell you
You are nothing
But remember you're worth everything
Take the blindfold off your eyes
And see past their disguise

Those that are free
Which now includes me
Have decided to take a stand
To fight with each other
To give a helping hand

Hope for the sold
That is what we are told
We need your help
To rescue them all
So are you going to sit?
Or respond to our call?

Human Trafficking or
Slavery of the 21st century
It is all the same
Just a different name
But mustn't we still fight
For our human right?
