Sitting Alone in Silence

I sit alone in silence/ Watching the days go by/ The black veil can be too heavy/ For those that speak out/    I wish to dance, to sing, to be/ But the black veil of teenagers keeps me back/ Very soon my veil will lift/ And I won't be alone/ But for now i sit in silence/ Watching the days go by... I sat alone in silence/But now i have come out/ Shiny new and bright/ a flower in the gray/ The onlookers keep back and let me speak for myself/ For now i am comfortable in the world/ No longer sitting alone in silence/ And it only took a hand/ To reach out and pull away the veil
