Sins of Thy Father
While time has aged the memories are still sharp in my mind.
I feel your presence in the shadows, lurking while hiding.
You belong there. Hidden from the light.
Knowledge of your sins kept only between us.
Memories of your touch at such a tender age.
I use to fight but that quickly faded. My small stature no match for yours.
So here we are, grown with only the memories.
With me creating my own light now. A light from within.
A light with the knowledge your sins is yours to bear.
But with the knowledge you are always in my shadows, lurking while hiding.
