Sins

To stand at the heart of the Earth

And breath in a simple sigh

With out stretched arms

Reaching to the veiled sky

Whispering simple words

Of hope and praise

Speaking modest thoughts

Of a time, of a better place

Remembering the shortened past

As a memory whose edges fade

Lifting a voice on high

To a source that is only shade

Breath in with each phrase

Exhale out to the common end

Where the words meet heaven

But us?, shall always descend
