School and work that’s all I do,

And yet I’ll always smile because of you.

You make me laugh you make me sigh,

And we never really say goodbye.

So when I have to get ready,

When I’m on the run,

I always remember all our fun.

I want you to know how happy I am,

To see how much I look forward to what’s next,

But I’m at a loss of words my friends.

That little kid in the store who started singing our favorite song,

The teacher who remembers us after so long,

And that little mention just makes me smile,

And I find myself humming,

But the best is when I don’t have to do anything.

I read and paint while I wait but I feel happy just knowing you’re on your way.

Neither of us stressed no one strained,

Just you and me lazing the day away.
