Silver & Debris

i.
Your kisses taste like silver and lead,
your words bullets left in the barrel
as my hands trace over the trigger
and tempt you to release them.

ii.
Your hands feel like chalkboards and sandpaper,
your fingers dragging slowly across my skin
and leaving
debris and scratches
when they leave.

iii.
Your eyes look like the ocean and the skyline,
your gaze clear yet distracted
as it grazes right past the
city
that lies behind
mine.
