The Silly Things We Say
I’m so discontented with walking up and down,
But I’d like to meet a nice girl downtown
I’ll say hi to the hottie in the black gown
And I hope she doesn’t take me for a clown
I have to make my feelings known,
For I want to start a family of my own
The storms of life have blown me down
No wonder I’m wearing a frown
My child was too precious to disown
How beautifully she’s grown!
She returns the favour that was shown
I’m reaping what I’ve sown
The shade of my iris is light brown
If I were a monarch, I’d wear a golden crown
Sometimes I go sailing after sundown
And I feel like jumping overboard and drown
Don’t take this poem seriously
These are some of the silly things we say
