Silent Witness
Behind closed doors she hides herself
and what she has become,
the cuts, the bruises,
the angry words said -
that should never be undone.
But luckily she lives and so forgives "Him"
that "He" may go on to do the same again to "Her" another day.
And so on she goes broken like a fallen doll in this distress,
in this godforsaken mess.
A silent witness.
