Silent Seasons

In the quiet spaces, where echoes lie still,
I trace the memories, and wander at will.
Friends once close, now shadows in the past,
Like autumn leaves, falling, fading fast.

We laughed in the warmth of golden days,
In crowded rooms, in sunlit rays.
But seasons turn, and so do hearts,
Drifting gently, as each one departs.

I hold their voices, soft in my mind,
In whispered moments, hard to find.
For bonds may break, but I remain,
A silent strength against the rain.

So here I stand, as winter nears,
With warmth in loss, and strength in tears.
For even as friendships come undone,
I carry the light of what we’d begun.
