Silent Sea

Silent Sea

by Matthew J. S.

Silence could be a friend or it’s a foe

It could be your needed peace or untoward to your war

Like sails being blown, you go with the flow

Eventually, you drift away from your steady course

No direction, like steering without an oak

Capsized, was this, unsecured voyage, worth going forth

Expedite thoughts goes in a panic mode

If you are in the shallow end, you will be wash out

Sirens are loud, they are taking your voice, dispossession

Dull and numb, closing eyes as you’re falling down

Elevate and make your sweet redemption

Adrenaline pumping and pushing aside the doubts

Deep breathing to lower your apprehension

Living is your sound grace and your rescue

You are free from the fear and the shadows of your silence
