The Silent Dreamer

The Silent Dreamer-Stella D’Vine

She watches from a cloud the dream she dreams.

The bubbles of the sea. The swish of her tail. The taste of freedom.

In her shackles she jolts awake.

She embraces her legs. Tears streaming down. She closes her eyes and dreams silently.

Golden hills covered in flowers. Her hands skimming over them. Freedom in her hands.

In her cell she stumbles awake.

She slumps down. Defeat in her shoulders. She closes her eyes and wanders in a dream.

Kisses of a prince charming cover her lips. Happiness swelling inside. Freedom at last.
