Silence

Silence.

It’s the thing you can never escape.

It’s the thing that will last forever.

When the computers stop humming,

When the clocks stop ticking,

When the cars stop beeping,

When the people stop talking.

Even when you dread it, it will always come at the end of the day.

It’s always there.

And when you think that noise will never stop,

Silence will always come back.

It can be a friend,

It can be a menace,

But beware the silence.
