Silence
Silence is my welcome mat,
It meets me at the door,
Words don't work here.
But I still implore
I hope for answers that never come
My heart is wide open
So much gore to show
Maybe they'll smite it
But still, no woe
No words are spoken
No tear is granted.
This life--not miserable, yet disdained
Will keep this fire, this eternal flame
So I sit in silence
And dream of hope
In a land so far away
But oh--so very close
