Signs

Luke 21:7

“Teacher,” they asked, “when will all this happen?

What sign will show us that these things are about to take place?”

Observe

Look at the seaside brother ... waves are rolling in

There is no way of stopping them ... a storm is on the way

Wind will drive the water as uncertainty begins

As houses built on sand may slowly wash away

Look at the sky my brother ... clouds are gathering fast

Signs of what is to come ... now are knocking at the door

Too late to go to mother as she is hidden in the past

By self you have to face this and possibly much more

You should have listened brother ... when the time was right

But you did not bother ... enjoying your polished shell

Now you can’t go farther ... caught in unexpected fright

As no choices can made ... as you wait for the final bell
