The Sights and Sounds of Happy-Go-Lucky

Here's to those who needs a little more happy in their life.

The Sights and Sounds of Happy-Go-Lucky

Yes! Yes! Yes!

Screams of jubilee fill the air

A century old strife has ended

The city overflows with Happy-Go-Lucky

Hugs thrown there and Smiles all around

Sounds of great laughter in this once desolate town

At a 1 PM outdoor preschool recess

There’s a spluttering of giggles and fast footsteps

Shouts of “Tag you’re it!” and “Duck, duck, goose!”

All this pent up energy let loose

In this Happy-Go-Lucky youth

She, her sister, and mother huddle

All staring at a computer screen

Waiting, Anxious, Hoping

Then they read . . .

“Congratulations! Welcome to the Class of ‘19.”

Happy-go-lucky fills her future, her dreams

These are the sights and sounds

Of a spirit so bright, so profound

Seek and you shall find

The sights and sounds of Happy-go-lucky
