THE SIGHT OF THE MIND
Poem by; Alick Mushekwa®
*THE SIGHT OF THE MIND*
My eyes are blind to see what I am able to see using my mind
The optician can never understand the lenses of my brain
The mystery is beyond history; never been heard in the folk stories
A narrative without a narrator makes it sound questionable in a mind of a reader
Truths which are so bitter to be chewed; tasteful when swallowed
Facts which are so irritating to the ears, yet so digestive to the mental faculties
Stories worth to be heard and not narrated;
Truth be told; mysteries I offload before tomorrow unfolds;
I use my senses to see not my lenses; it is known as "THE SIGHT OF THE MIND"
My mind is fixed like the day of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
No one knows my thoughts except the inner man in the upper rooms of ideas
My blood would be of no use if not for Jesus Christ's sacrifice
My relationship with my God is Stronger than the love in sacred ties
My mouth has lost the tune of lies; my mind clear of evil thoughts like the skies
I am a winner in the Lord a loser in the world
I shall lose everything; cars, money, my beautiful wife and handsome husband
I shall go away from the earth, carrying nothing but my faith
My beautiful and handsome children shall remain
My path shall be like a footpath leading up to the streams of water
Birds sing the song "hallelujah, hallelujah!" Accompanied by mournful silence
Nature smelling life full of freedom and peace; who would dare to miss?
Let me celebrate before my time accelerates to my date of death
Let the wonderful moments pour out on my soul just like waters of life pouring out on soil
May the tree of my smart works bring forth edible fruits to the earth
May he bless the world to the brim, so we can never lack nor starve
The heavens shall open to give and disrupt every evil seed in our fields of love
Hell shall await none of us for that great torment; for the devil has done more than enough....
