sickness

The town’s once busy streets

Are filled with silent ghosts

The loud squeals of children playing

Are replaced with lost hopes

So many cry in fear of death

The thought of losing their one last breath

The trenches of this sudden war

Are filled with loved one’s more and more

When will this evil rot away?

When will we be able to laugh and play?

The stench of death is very near

This is goodbye, my friend,

I fear
