Shut

Location

If I shut my eyes tight enough will I disappear?

Can I seal them shut with all of my tears?

Forgiveness not wthin any of your bones.

Screaming, thrashing accusing,

Condescending tones.

If I shut my eyes tight enough will I disappear?

My shouting voice unheard for too many years.

A constat battle with endings not truely.

Always unjust, unsound, unruly

My heart is sealed shut from all of my tears,

From walking on eggshells, from living in fear.

So I shut my eyes, never tight enough to disappear.
