Should I Dream?

Should I bury my future with precious attention?
Amid the screams
And the dreams
Of faces unseen
Lost in a sea
Nowhere to be.
Just me

Should I hide myself in the gale of the scorns?
That mock
And knock
And rock my soul
Locked in a room
With nowhere to move
Just me

Should I lie on the ground and let myself go?
No hold
I’m told
And swiftly sold
Among the lonely
I am the only
Just me

Should I fight although I lack the strength?
Bruised and empty
From conformity
In our society
A cookie-cut person
Will this worsen?
Just me

But I find the courage to fight back the storm!
My bravery
Saves me
And releases me from slavery
I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
Just me

One person with a dream.
And I can do
Anything!
