A shot in a roomPeople

A shot in a room

People start to run

One gone

The music is still blaring,

Lights still dim

Two gone

The music is the only sound among the gunshots

Everyone is silent

Ten gone

Cell phones buzzing,

Worried texts from Mom

Fifteen gone

Silent crying from the stalls in the bathroom,

Hearing the shots, hearing the screams

Twenty-five gone

Bathroom door opens, phone buzzes

Frantic calls from Mom

Frantic calls from Mom

Fourty gone

A painful wound,

Bloody clothes

Fifty gone

Fifty hurt

Fifty families, shattered

A community greiving

One man, victory, I guess

Rest In Peace, Orlando Victims. We love you.
