A shot in the Dark

A shot in the dark

An idea that just might jump start your heart

A tiny spark

A shot in the dark

I have no apology for my theology

I need God and so do you

The world’s messed up but He loves us through and through

Through joy, shame, love, pain

There is power in Jesus’s Holy Name

A shot in the dark

An idea that just might jump start your heart

A tiny spark

A shot in the dark

Though I’m told keep silent

I will not relent

Sharing the need to repent is time well spent

Though you may ignore me

I must share my story

A shot in the dark

An idea that just might jump start your heart

A tiny spark

A shot in the dark

My life has not been easy

And the only thing that frees me

Is knowing there is a God above me

One who truly loves me

Who knows me completely and still treasures me

Who has always been there and always will be

A shot in the dark

An idea that can jump start your heart

A tiny spark

A shot in the dark

Will you let God’s love kindle that spark?

Or will the embers of this conversation fade

Ignoring the reason we were made

More than an apathetic existence

His love is so persistent

Let go of your pride

You’re the reason He died

In the end at least I tried

A shot in the dark

That you would allow God to jump start your heart

A tiny spark

A shot in the dark

It tears me apart

You chose something else

A shot in the dark

The only idea that can jump start your heart

A tiny spark

A shot in the dark

Why did you choose to stay in the dark?
