Shopping

Philippians 2:3

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit,

but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

Shopping

Half of mine and self ... went on a shopping spree

to spend a dollar here and there for the things we need

It did not take long to spend the money we thought we had

for self and the ones we love ... to show we really cared.

It seems that self and mine ... are the only thoughts we share.

While angels cry far above ... knowing all could be so fair

if every dollar spend that day ... I make a way of life

to invest another for the poor and needy in their strife.

This world would be a better place ... where hunger would depart.

for poverty for sure is a disease ... that eats the very heart

In politics and civilized life ... poverty is treated as a curse.

The motto: “Let the lazy bastards work” ... to become like us.

Who wants to be like us and spend all on self?

May be poverty is not a curse at all

but the curse lives within ourselves
