Shit You Can't Say To Your Teacher

Shit you can’t say to your teacher:

“I’m tired,”

For she will think you didn’t sleep enough last night.

“I’m really distracted,”

For she will think you have no interest in learning.

“I couldn’t do my homework,”

For she will think you’re troubled and need some extra guidance.

“This is too hard,”

For she will think your future will include a drive-thru window and a bastard child.

“I don’t feel well,”

For she will think you are just compensating for the attention that you don’t get at home.

“I can’t do it anymore,”

For she will think you’re just referring to the work she assigned.

“I need help,”

For she will think you need to come after school for remedial lessons.

“Goodbye,”

For she will think you’re just going home for the night.

For she will think....

Nothing of what she think is what she knows. Those phrases are just like poetry, deeper than what they seems.
