She's Our Guest
I spend my days swinging from cart to dish hoping to be a boy again is my only wish.
I really miss my arms and legs.
Rumors fly around the castle like featherduster’s feathers that we may be stuck like this forever.
But one day, Hope stumbles in, she’s a beauty that Belle or so others say.
Mama thinks she’s the one but the beast is tough to overcome.
My job is to serve her tea- the most important part of a meal.
The days pass and the petals are dying but something is changing,
Mama says she’ll tell me when I’m older, but I want to know now.
On the day that Belle rides away, the castle falls sad and there are shadows where happiness once lived.
Now I’m tucked back in the dark, lonely cabinet with only my hopes and dreams for the spell to be broken.
Much to my surprise when I open up my eyes- we’re under attack!
In the midst of this disaster I get to serve my master,
I use my tea but not for drinking, I don’t know what I was thinking.
But a magical thing happened when Belle kissed the beast.
I’m not sure if I was supposed to see but it was just what was in need.
The spell is broken and the castle is alive.
I see Cogsworth and Lumiere, and Mama running towards me.
“Oh my goodness my boy, look at you Chip.”
Free at last and it’s time for me to be the boy I’m meant to be.
